[TenTec] Successful Upgrade of Old Jupiter

Carl,

I am another person who had a problem loading the new RUF file. It loaded
in about 23 seconds, but then the program never ran to do the balance of the
work. The-Tec is sending me the "GO" chip to temporarily install to update
the radio and then I can replace it with the new chip I bought from them. I
notice in the directory 538v1300.ruf and 538cwv1010.ruf. I could not find
anywhere what they are for except possibly doing what you are trying to do.
The 538kbd.ruf is about twice the size of the other two files. Do you or
anyone know what the 2 other RUF files are for? Thanks.

73,
John

I do not have the new memory chip in my Jupiter. I installed the PLD update

and then installed version 1.30. It does not have the CW keyboard feature
or CW decoder in it. I thought I could load 1.30 to get the CW keyboard and

decoder and lose AM and FM, and then go back to 1.29 if I wanted AM and FM.
But both versions have AM and FM and no CW keyboard or decoder. Has anybody

been successful getting the CW decoder and keyboard working without getting
the new memory chip? What am I missing?
