Another reason I keep the Corsair II; with the matching external VFO, one can listen to A AND B VFOs at the same time, transmitting on one or the other, plus the antenna jack on the back is switched for AUX antenna or AUX RX (the latter gives you triple receive capability off the transmit antenna).

I actually did have the capability I would love to have now, back in 1973, using the Twinline YASU FL/FRDX400. A separate transmitter and receiver combination. The transmitter (of this Tube type duo) had the capability of pushing in a button, and listenening to the freq on which the transmitter was tuned, while also hearing the freq to which the receiver was set. Today, you can, with rigs such as the TS570, set split operation, and push in the TF-SET button, and hear the freq your transmitter will be transmitting on, but that lifts the "receive" freq from being heard. All this takes two hands and a foot to manage and is unacceptable for true "two receiver" listening.
