[TenTec] TITAN 425 PS maintenance

Jim, I agree with you on the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." ..... What I
am trying to do is have the replacement board on hand and built for a quick
swap. But I was trying to find out if anyone had used the WD7S HV-2 board
for the 3CX800A7s..... the HV-2 board has been used to provide higher
voltages for surplus 3CPX800A7s in the TITAN 425.

I don't have a back-up amp, so I figure having the critical components for a
repair with minimum down time would be a good investment.

I am a STRONG believer in "If it an't broke, don't fix it." If
something in the P/S later fails and you can't easily replace it, THEN
think about that board. At this point though, all the parts that could
fail (other than the transformer) are readily replaceable with the
either same parts or good alternates.

FWIW -- on my three Titans, the only failures I've had in the P/S are a
few filter caps and some that burned up due to a HV short in the RF
deck. I'm an active contester, so my amps see a lot of use.
