[TenTec] OMNI VII and MTTY

Still having trouble getting the OMNI VII to send RTTY.  It does transmit a
signal which is seen on the MTTY screen of another computer hooked to my
backup rig.  However, it is a single horizontal ellipse with no vertical
component.  My setup is as follows:

Using the cable that came with the radio for ACC #1.

Using a homebrew breakout box that has a nine pin serial port (connected to
computer COM 1)

It has the PPT function connected to Pin 7 (RTS).

It has the FSK function connected to Pin 3 (TXD).

It has the CW function connected to Pin 4 (DTR)

 

I connected the Yellow breakout from ACC #1 to Computer Line In

I connected the Red breakout (FSK) from ACC #1 to TXD on breakout box.

I connected the Black (PTT) breakout from ACC #1 to Pin 7 on breakout box.

 

It appears that I do not have the data going through for the Mark/Space.

 

Help!?
