Bob,
As far as i know they didn't make an OMNI VI++.  Just the Omni V, the
VI, the VI+ and the three upgrades to the Omni VI.. I have an original
version VI+ and i have it controlled through my home network.  It's
hooked up to a dedicated old cheap lap top running windows 98 SE and
commander.  Works very well but the amount i can control it is minimal;
Frequency control, vfo control, bands, and modes.  I used to have a
Jupiter hooked up to the same network and it will allow you to control
everything, however the VI+ has a better receiver AND there is really
nothing more i need to control on the rig when it's operating over the
network.
