I would have to go to the trouble of reading the schematic, but I guess I 
assumed that it is the maximum permissible collector current set.  This 
would be how Ten Tec protects the final transistors.

When I have a chance I will look and see for sure.  I really can't say for 
sure without looking at the roadmap.
