[TenTec] Orion 565 serial port failure (Again!)

Have you tried unplugging the rig and letting it stand for awhile.
Dumb as it sounds, I have revived various computer systems this
way, whereas no efforts to reboot, clear the BIOS to factory settings,
or other forms of flashing the system would work.   Sometimes just a
little time off with no power applied does it.

No guaranty, but this is a free item to try as I understand these
radios are kinda designed like computers inside.

Just something to try while waiting for other suggestions.
