[TenTec] auto notch

Digital Signal Processing, for all the magic it can do for us, almost
invariably introduces some distortion into the audio.  I'm not sure what
radio you're using that is exhibiting this problem, but the Orions with
certain firmware version had more or less problem with audio distortion with
the AN turned on.  DSP is not free, it turns out.  That said, some of the
Orion FW versions are almost unusable, so you might want to try another
version of the FW, or try other solutions as some others have recommended.

YES I KNOW YOU CAN DO THAT.  BUT IF THE JAP RADIOS AUTO NOTCH WORK AND NO

If your rig has passband tuning, and the offending signal is low in pitch,
adjust the PBT to accentuate the highs; it it is high in pitch, go the 
opposite
direction; play with your toy a little 73
