We all  have our favorite adapters.  I recently built up a Win7 64 bit machine 
and my old pci serial port card no longer worked.
So I got the following  USB => 4 port serial adapter:

it worked fine with WRitelog, HRD and my own rotor control program written in 
VisualBasic.

Win7 found all the drivers without me loading any from the CD.
