James,
Did you remove the paint from the contact surface of the chassis and coax connectors (SO239)?

Also check for excess flux on a solder joint or a cold solder joint.

I hope that helps, Take Care,  73'S    KA5SIW

Subject: [TenTec] TT Model 1225 SWR/Watt meter question

Greetings -

I recently built a Model 1225 SWR/Watt meter kit.   At first, it was easy to align it, and it worked as expected.

Now, maybe a month or so later, I cannot get the SWR  (return power) meter to behave as expected.  I have several other meters, by Ten-Tec, Palstar, Daiwa and on my Omni VII,  all of which agree with each other, but the SWR (return power) mater runs high no matter how carefully I set it.  Now it always too high (the forward power meter seems to act as it should, and within expectations, even considering the rather wide tolerance these things have.

Any ideas?   Any special tricks or techniques to help set it so it measures up like my other meters?     It seemed OK at first...

Losing my mind...  Thank you.
