I guess thats my point though...if you add this circuit it is no longer 'original' anyway...either mod would be reversible ...I was just wondering if there was some other benefits...as to phase noise, I have been lucky--no issues.

Its not really of any importance (none of it is) again, was just wondering what this little device did...does it introduce any noise?
