Hello Carl,

Your suggestion worked great....used deOxit on the front panel J 
connectors and all the RG174 plugs....spray, insert several times then 
wait til dry...
Menu panel works again as do all the Band change buttons.

Mucho Gracias for very 'head's up' idea.
