[TenTec] Old Omni A series B Noise Blanker Question

Hi Kevin,

Your information about the Omni-C blanker was not true for mine. I have a
Triton 544 and an Omni-C, each with the proper Ten-Tec blanker. The 544's
blanker would quieten the loudest of line noises. The Omni-C blanker was as
good as a brick in the corner would have been.

I examined both schematics and noted the differences, then modified the
Omni-C blanker's circuitry to correspond electrically with that for the 544.
As I recall, it was a matter of rewiring just a bit but I think no parts
were required... or left over, either. That was a number of years ago.

My Omni-C blanker thereafter was as good as, but not better than that in the
544.

73 and Good Luck - and Merry Christmas
Mike N4NT
