Gentlemen.   Re: higher voltage circuits...  would it be too difficult 
to develop a power supply, maybe a linear type, that outputs two 
different voltages for different parts of the radio?  Specifically, what 
if most of the rig was run with 13.8 v as it is now, but the PA and 
other necessary PA-related components were run on, say 24 or 48 volts, 
with all power tapped from different windings on the same transformer? 
  Might that assist manufacturers in minimizing the cost to convert to 
higher voltage circuits, while maintaining some continuity - all working 
toward a cleaner output, with minimal rework to the whole deal?
