I knew I read about that someplace.
changing the length of feed line, in my opinion, has always been an issue. You can't make it shorter, it still has to go from point a to point b and using open wire feeders longer presents a problem, too as you can't readily coil the stuff on the floor.
the doublet, that has yet to me built, will consist of 14 gauge stranded wire with snaplock spacers. The tower/apex of the antenna is 200 feet from the shack. Then add another 20--30 feet to get it down and inside the room.
