[TenTec] Herc II vs Astron

Bob,
Isn't SWR determined by the match between the feedline and the load and not
by resonance? I believe source amperage goes up when the impedance of the
load is lower than the source.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

thats funny my 70amp switching power supply works just fine. i had my
doubts when i bought it but i bought it used and can always get my money out
of it. i have my omni 6 and the herk 2 both hooked up to it.
now the ant has to be resonate or the amperage will go up with a high swr.

In my experience, 70A is NOT enough. I've run my Herc II from TWO Astron
70A linear supplies, each connected to half of the output stages, and with
their regulator references tied together. That works fine. But only RS70 to
run the amp will go into protect mode.
