That's good news.
The length of coax is some portion of an electrical wavelength. It
simply adds some value of reactance which then the tuner is able to
match.
Just for curiosity, have you tried to measure either the Z or the SWR
between the tuner and the LMR400. I bet the SWR is real high. But not
to worry, the LMR400 has low loss even with high SWR.
