Actually Elecraft K3 allows you to choose between traditional NB and short
pulse NB.
So, depending on what it is you are trying to eliminate, you choose
whichever NB mode is better.

Too bad we cannot select feature updates from a smorgasbord of firmware 
versions, sort of a mix-n-match thing.
