[TenTec] Signal to noise

I talk on 70cm most days to and from work.  I feel quite comfortable doing so and feel that I know what is going on around me as well.  

When texting first became a rage and I didn't know better I had a couple of near misses with guard rails and such before I realized it was stupid to do.  Now it's illegal in Indiana to text and drive.

Maybe I'm not very talented, but I'd say anything that requires is to concentrate and look away from the field of view for driving is dangerous.

My 2 mtr/440 rig is in set and forget it mode and I have to never look at it.  The volume is on the hand mic and I know where it is by feel if I have to turn it down.

I use to run HF mobile a lot and talk from Indiana to Texas most of the way years ago.  I don't trust myself now to dial around, check radio settings, etc. and drive.  It's gotta be a set and forget deal for me anymore.
