[TenTec] FS 243 VFO

I have had both the 243 and 263 (with 546C and 561 XCVRS respectively.  The 
main difference between the 243 and 263, is that the 263 has a balance 
"fader" control between the A (internal) and B (external) VFOs for 
controlling the signal or audio levels when in dual receive (RAB or Receive 
A and B).

If I recall correctly the 546C and 243 could be a little hard on the ears 
when trying to hear the weak DX and the strong station he was working in the 
pile.  The 561 and 263 with the balance control was much easier on the ears!

Well they both use a 5.0 to 5.5 frequency.  I believe a 243 could easily
be made to work with a Corsair.
