[TenTec] OMNI VII SWR going high--heat releated

Re previous request for help, this is definitely heat related. I can turn
the unit on and operate or just let it sit for perhaps an hour or so
depending, and then the trouble starts, infinite SWR on an antenna and a
dummy load...

Thanks for any suggestions.

The unit is in a bookcase sort of enclosure with about 2.5 inches all around
it, no other source of heat, and open front and back. It has the installed
TenTec accessort fan on the heat sink.

I am now trying letting it run with a small fan in back for a coule of hours
and going to try it again.
