I have used aluminum shiny foil in the past for knob inserts. You have to handle the aluminum carefully. Start with a new roll and keep tension on it to avoid wrinkles. Once it is cut and inserted, rub out any wrinkles before gluing the insert down. Stuart Rohre K5KVH
