[TenTec] OMNI VI - Voice Board ?

Here's one for you OMNI VI gurus.  I took the Voice board from my Paragon, put a jumper across the diode, and installed it in my Omni VI.  Pushing the VOICE button does indeed yield the announcement of the frequency BUT after the announcement the received audio is GONE.  To get it back I have to cut the rig off and then on again!  It's like the VOICE announcement cuts the audio off?


Any guesses on what may be going on?
