So Bob, let ne see if I have this straight... [ And sorry if I'm late to the
party, so to speak, I was fighting bad propagation all weekend. ]
We have a new owner for a company that was on the brink of disappearing, who
is busy trying to put the business back together again -- a very uphill
struggle, I might add.
The factory has just relocated, and we have been told that unfortunately,
they are not equipped for visitors at the present time -- and may never be.
Now: you claim that you sent an email, months ago, that was never answered,
asking if you could stop by, which we've already been told that you (we)
can't. [ You did mail that email to a valid address, didn't you? That's
not a dumb question -- there have been many reports of people upset that the
OLD phone numbers and the OLD email addresses from the original incarnation
of Ten Tec, pre-RFC/RKR, no longer work. ]
So with that background in mind, we are to conclude that you will never buy
a rig from the new owners? Because they allegedly didn't answer ONE email,
regarding something we'd already been told is not possible at present?
Tell you what. When you decide to spite the company by throwing away all
your equipment, send them to me instead (I'll cover the postage) and I'll
make sure that they are properly... Let's say recycled.

You cannot contact Ten Tec. Mike, the new owner is too busy pouting about
dial strings and crying over Baofeng radios to talk to a loyal Ten Tec fan.
I wrote an email several months ago asking if I could bring my radio in for
repair instead of mailing it in. I still have not received an answer. Some
companies, like Vibroples, won't allow drop offs without calling first.
But, as you well know, you cannot call Ten Tec. I think they are just trying
to piss everyone off and you know what... they are successful at doing just
that. I will NEVER buy another Ten Tec radio from these owners.
But, then with ZERO customer service, they won't last long.
