[TenTec] Orion II Display problem?

I had an Orion that had “mystery letters” once. Sadly, I think the CPU was bad… Hopefully, yours will not suffer the same calamity.

Before I jumped ship on that radio, should you see a recurrence, I’d reload the firmware. Sometimes, if that is corrupted, the funky letters only appear if you go though an unusual sequence of keystrokes, which is why it can be some hard to find. Reloading the firmware gets rid of those corrupt lines of code.
