Yes some parts are hard to get if at all.A lot of problems are caused by bad caps, not  hard or costly but very time consuming. Bad connections  solder joints again don’t cost but time. Shipping can be worth a hour or two of time. Then there is problem from hell that takes a lot of time, maybe  work on it for two -four hours and just have to put it on shelf for a rainy day                                  
Not very many people are willing to put a couple hundred dollars of labor in a twenty year old radio.
  The hobby repair shop is what a lot of people are looking for, repair is done at a low labor rate with a lot of time on there hands. They don’t have to advertise, they have more work than they can possibly do in there life time. 
  I have two Corsair’s and two Omni VI ‘s seems like one of them is down al the time . I do my own repair work and some other’s too. Time is the problem ! Finding time is the problem. We al are running  out of Time!
