[TenTec] Omni6 intermittent fault

Hi all...  Fault symptom as follows:-
At switch on Omni VI "motor-boating" before locking in then operates normally. Later it emitted  a "drift-like" sound as if going out of lock and again returned to normal.
Some days later after similar to above it drifted off completely then emitted a permanent low frequency buzzing noise in the LS which remained even when the Tune button was pressed.
All this time the O6 TX appeared to key and output normally but there was no sidetone only this buzzing from the LS..
Now all has returned to normal and I cannot pursue but would appreciate anyone's thoughts or who maybe has experienced same fault condx.
