thanks for your precious suggestions. My Orion has always booted on 
correctly. Anyway, in the near future I'll replace all electrolytic 
capacitors in the power distribution board (A9) and I'll do the others 
"make up" ops that would take my Orion back to youthfulness ;-) It's a 
great radio and its receiver, by reading the Sherwood Engineering's 
benchmark, still keeps a solid high ranking!
