For fan oiling, first clean all dusty surfaces.

Then run the fan until it heats up.  Spray de-Oxit into the bearing 
behind the sticker at hub of fan blade, and re-attach the sticker or one 
like it.

As the fan cools in the off state, lube will be drawn into the central 
motor/ bearing area.  This should get to the wear surfaces that attract 
debris and cause noise. (Do the sticker replacement as the last step.)

Mouser stocks nearly equivalent fans. Match the number of paddles on the 
blade, and voltage; and physical dimensions. Be sure to note to which 
the direction the old fan blew.  There is usually an arrow on the 
plastic case.  Sketch the angle of direction of the original blades, to 
match a new fan to that.  Some fans exhaust air, others suck air into 
the chassis. Double check you have the direction of air flow the same as 
original.
