I had about the same problem with my Orion II. Looked at the pwr board and immediately noted one of the 470uf caps was bulging. No luck with Mouser, but I was able to get the equivalent from Lead Electronics in NY. The two that are side by side were a tight fit, but all worked well, and the Orion runs like a new one.

It took a week to get them, but the fault was with the post office/heavy holiday traffic.
Maybe this will help?
PS It was a pain to get the solder out of the holes. I finally used a sewing needle along side the soldering iron to poke the solder out of the board.

My Orion finally would not come up Sunday when turned on, hear relays clicks, but display never comes up, and rig won't boot. I tried to order these caps from Mouser and Allied today and back ordered till end Jan.
They are C1,C8 Panasonic Alum Electolytic Leaded 100uf 50wvdc, 108C ($.22 ea)
and C6,C7 Panasonic Alum Electrolytic Leaded 470uf, 50wvdc, 108C ($.69ea)
If I am going to troubleshoot problem-figure I wud replace the known problem Caps in Distribution board.
Anyone have any spares on hand, so I don't have to wait.
