[TenTec] Tentec Audio fidelity doubt

As a rule I would say no.   Although any noise in the audio system when 
the AF is at 10 o'clock will be louder as the AF gain is increased.   
Now, if you are finding the audio goes into an oscillation as the AF 
gain is increased, this may be an internal issue such as an oxidized 
connection.   And as I always suggest, make sure you have a dedicated 
ground conductor between the radio and the power supply ground 
terminal.  Do not rely on DC Negative in this regard.  This is 
regardless of what and how you have your station ground configured, if 
you use one.

And if you have a computer or other device connected to the radio, there 
could be noise/buzz getting into the system ground.
