The biggest problem is usually corona,  and of course the very poor 
mechanical strength. If you have too much corna, you will curse 
because the antenna will slowly melt.

This was discussed at length in the rec.radio.amateur.antenna 
newsgroup, and most experienced people reached that conclusion.
