I have often been asked what pre-amp I use on topband. I have tried several
but have found the unit designed by KD9SV in Ham Radio Magazine (my
alma-mater) to be by far the best.

It is variable gain and has performed flalessly for me over the past 8 years.

Until the other day, I had thot that the kits were no longer available.
However, I got a call from Chuck, N8BYI and he told me they are still
offering the kits and now have completed units for both 80 and 160 for sale.

Check out their website for more details.
