Topband: Radials over grvel driveway

Getting ready to take down my elevated radial system and put down 
a serious amount of wire.  My problem is 1/2 the radials will have
to cross my gravel driveway.  Does anyone have any hints on 
how to prolong the life of the radials as they get ground up in 
the gravel??
