The reference I use for identifying AM stations is the FCC AMQ AM Radio 
Database Query at:


http://www.fcc.gov/mmb/asd/amq.html#sprung3

This database allows you to search on call sign, frequency, or location. 
Unfortunately seems to be limited to US stations.
