Topband: Finding break in Beverage wire

Would appreciate helpful suggestions on how to locate a break in a single 
wire Beverage.  Perhaps there's a piece of test equipment that will do this? 
Visual inspection of the 14AWG stranded/insulated wire reveals no obvious 
cuts in the wire, yet dc voltage applied to one end isn't getting down to 
the far end.  It was definitely intact a few months ago.  The wire's been up 
for 18 mos and been subject to a fair amount of stretching, falling 
branches, etc. and already has a few splices in it.
