DXers everywhere,

XZ0A is now in its final day of operation. Contacts will end at 23:59 GMT on
February 6, 2000 and preparations will then begin for transporting equipment
of the island. As of February 4th, there were approximately 75,000 QSOs in
the log.

The 160-meter log information has been updated through February 4th,
including contest contacts. Congratulations to 4X1RZ, G3OZF, OH3YI, OH5WWW,
OZ7YY, ON5NT, SM6CTQ, SV8CS and UA0MF who were a few of the operators who
made top band contacts with XZØA on both CW and SSB! The most recent
160-meter log information can be viewed on the Internet at:

  http://getnet.com/~k7wx/160-1.htm (still only QSO's thru 1/30/00...de W4ZV)

During these last few days, a concentrated effort has been made to work
stations in zones 5 through 13, as conditions permit. The path to these
areas is often difficult and the team wanted to make sure that everyone had
an opportunity for a contact on at least one band. The patience of operators
in other areas during these times has been greatly appreciated.

With the assistance of the Radio Amateur Society of Thailand, the remaining
members of the team will dismantle the LF transmitting towers on the morning
of February 7th, for transport back to Bangkok.

The QSLs will be printed shortly. Direct requests should be addressed to:

On behalf of the Central Arizona DX Association, and the entire XZ0A team, I
would like to thank each and every one of you who made this a thrilling
experience for all involved.

73 and good DX de Warren, K7WX
