I am working on some cores for my flag antenna.
How do I know when it is working right.
I wound a 50-43 core as follows 8 turns and then 4 turns terminated with =
a 220 ohm resistor.
It read 50 ohms resistance on my Rf analyst.
when I hooked up my RG8x coax to it and ran it into the shack the swr =
shows 3to1, inductance reads 3.20
capacitance reads 1397, freq reads 2.357.
The length of coax run is 110 ft.
this antenna seems deaf on 160 with no noise at all, on 80 it seems to =
work as a old 2 wire beverage I use to have.
Any suggestions?
