Hi Bill, et. al.

When we put up the center element for W8UVZ, with the insulators made in
Georgia, it was 12 straight sections of 25G plus a flat top section, total
length 126.5 feet and came in at 1810 khz. I jokingly said lets cut out one
set or bracing and shorten the three legs accordingly to bring it in a
little higher. Obviously we didn't do that. This is the center element of
3 in line 1/8 wave spaced antenna with wire elements for the lead and lag
similar to that shown in the latest edition of ON4UNs latest Low Band DXing
book. There are 120 radials under each element spliced with buss bar wire
where they intersect.

Bill, you might want to put up 11 straight sections plus taper top sections
so you can use a 1-1/2 or 2 inch pipe as the stinger. If you don't want the
taper effect, put a flange on top of the pipe stinger and hang galvanized
wire down to each leg to make the extension look like straight tower.

Have fun with the rocks under ground.
