Topband: Topband : Beverage response over good ground

g'day

would appreciate feedback on the following statement extracted loosely from
several publications

"h.h.beverage did most of his experiments in the LF (below 600kHz anyway)
rather than MF (most of upper bcb and 160m) region and his conclusions that
beverage antennas will fail over good earth only apply to LF where arrival
angles are invariably low. for MF for most reception
situations, the angle of arrival is significant and that angle of arrival
has the same effect as wave tilt over poor ground"

i agree that beverages work over good ground but i don't believe the
explanation above.
anyone have any thoughts on this?
