ICEPAC, and its parent IONCAP and all the derivatives, does not address
the effect of the Earth's magnetic field with respect to absorption,
refraction, and polarization. This is critical on 160m, which is very
close to the electron-gyro-frequency. Thus any results from ICEPAC, et
al, should be viewed with skepticism.
The only software available to us amateurs that properly addresses this
is Proplab Pro from Solar Terrestrial Dispatch.
