>From an old article for the Radio Shack radio/handheld beam, I built the
noise sniffer: attenuation unit & 3-element beam for 135mHz. The old Radio
Shack receiver was no longer available, so I bought the newer model,
Jetstream, cat. no. 12-615.

Upon testing the unit vs. the local power co. commercial sniffer, I found
that the newer Radio Shack receiver apparently has been upgraded with a
top-notch noise blanker. While I could peak and null aircraft transmissions
at will, the darn thing has, to date, refused to sniff its first buzz. Back
to the drawing board........
