Topband: QRSS on 160m

I thought perhaps another member of the ARRL 160 meter band plan review
committee might comment, but seeing none has I would point out that the
recommendation to the ARRL Board was that experimental modes be started at
the top end of the 160 meter band. The thought was that if such modes
transitioned to something more significant than 'experimental' they would
eventually move to an appropriate place on the band. If QRSS is
'experimental' rather than simply very slow CW, the logical place for it to
operate is at the top of the band. The matter of 'awards' would seem to be
something for the future. I am not aware of any QRSS QSO's that have taken
place on 160, but I suspect it could be done with little or no special
effort by several of the folks who read the exchanges on this reflector.

If it has been done, I would like to hear about it from one of the
participants.
