I also noticed on QRZ.com a news item that Israel is about to begin BPL test 
trials, offering  the experimental service free of charge.

Maybe yesterday's power outage will convince the utility industry to 
concentrate on PPL (POWER over powerlines) instead of meddling in unrelated 
ventures such as internet  service.
