The unintended (yet unavoidable) RF fields radiated by BPL do not only propagate as "ground waves" but also as sky waves via the ionosphere. As there may eventually be hundreds or thousands of sources, the sum of the radiated fields - even if only a few milliwatts per source - can spoil the HF spectrum at any place in the world, even at KH7......and not only "close to the power line".
