Topband: Wire for Beverages or radials

I have had excellent success with 17 ga galvanized electric fence
wire for Beverages. The losses when used for a Beverage, being a low
current antenna, are insignificant compared w/copper. A half mile
costs about $15 at Agway (probably less than the cost of shipping
that spool of telephone wire). I would NOT use it for radials due to
corrosion in the ground.
