Topband: DXCC on 160

People need to just set their own goals and be happy with
them.

With today's antenna technology a number of people could
work DXCC any year and even in the off season. Factually,
160 is no longer a seasonal band for many areas of the
world. A July WAC is easily possible without schedules, and
DXCC can be worked over one summer. DXCC in one contest, you
bet.

It's far different now than the time of Stew's struggle.

What sets Stew apart isn't the fact he was awarded the first
160 DXCC, it's the type of person he was. He wasn't driven
to be top in any list, he just was just quietly
accomplishing his own personal goals. He worked for the good
of everyone, not himself. He was modest and unassuming. He
never used the cluster. He never had a harsh word for anyone
ever (even the intentional QRM'ers), but other than that he
was perfect. ;-)

That's what the difference is.

It isn't important what a superstation in a good location
does or can do, except to that guy who built it. Things have
changed.
