Topband: Beverages over Radials

Hi, Clive,

My experience with Beverages is this:

At the salt lake bed (over very highly conductive soil) where I fly a
balloon-supported vertical in the 160m contests, I have tried Beverages
and they are useless there.

At the home QTH (over desert soil), the Beverages ran partially over my
transmit antenna's radial field and they have always performed quite
well.

I feel that a return wire under the Beverage running the full length of
the Beverage would probably make that antenna useless.
