Topband: Transceiver Key Clicks - Thanks for inputs!

Thanks goes to many of you for your many inputs on the Omni VI+ and K2/100
keying characteristics. The information is very helpful in my radio
selection process. It is clear that the both radios have edge rates that
result in objectionable key clicks. But that does not mean that is the end
of the story!

Today, I spoke with the Elecraft folks and I was assured that a keying mod
is undergoing thorough evaluation and a kit will soon be available. And it
also appears that Paul, W9AC, has been successful in correcting the Omni VI+
transmit ALC timing such that the Omni VI+ can have a slower rising edge
rate. Al, K7CA, directed me to N1EU's site where Paul's Omni VI+
modifications are described.

I still don't know which radio I am going to get. But at least I know I will
be able to clean up any click issues with either one. Again, thanks for your
help.
