Topband: Beverage along a creek

Greetings,

 

I live in an urban area with limited beverage opportunities. However,
there is a creek running near the property where it would be possible to
lay a wire thousand feet long and potentially even longer if there were
no serious problems running it through a culvert or two. It would be
ideal to lay the wire at or near the water line to visually obscure it
where from time to time it would be underwater. Has anybody done this
and what were the results?
